We left Sierra Leone on June 15 and sailed for seven days to Las Palmas, Grand Canaria, Spain. Our last two weeks were quite busy, both working and saying our last goodbyes to fellow crew, our local day crew and our friends in Freetown.

One special goodbye was at our church here in Freetown, Calvary Free Pentecostal. Tim was asked to give the message and of course did a great job. He focused on the subject of our humility before God using passages from Isaiah. True humble service brings glory to God.
We love the African worship both in Krio and English. One of our favorite songs sung at church, in the galley at work and African worship time on the ship is “Tell Papa God Tenki.” It is simple but sung with enthusiasm, clapping and sometimes dancing.
This is the song in Krio along with the translation:
Tell Papa God Tenki
Tel am tenki, tel am, tel Papa God tenki
Tel am tenki, tel am, tel Papa God tenki
Wet he do fo me, Ah go tel am tenki
Wet he do fo me, Ah go tel Papa God tenki
Tel am tenki, tel am, tel Papa God tenki
Tell Father God Thank You
Tell Him thank you, tell him, tell Father God thank you
Tell Him thank you, tell him, tell Father God thank you
What He did for me, I will tell him thank you,
What He did for me, I will tell Father God thank you
Tell Him thank you, tell him, tell Father God thank you.
Listen to our friend, Kadiatu, sing the song:

So blessed by your experience! Precious times you two. Tough to say goodbye I am sure. I am torn every time. Safe travels. Blessings
